Daybreak is a heart weighed down
Then sunshine reflecting on an elderberry tree
Clusters of flowers as bright as snow
A butterfly chaffinch on the feeder
This year’s chick already astute
The rusty red mushroom of a Japanese maple
Eloquence in a dancing yellow rose
My wooden regal eagle
The dial of eternal time
Tubs clustered in fragile purples
And golden leafy passions
Fighting branched out conifers in sea green
White button flowers of a red hat lady
Pleasures of intoxicating blue dendrums
This is my warm breakfast on a cold day in Summer
Mine for the taking lunch, dinner and supper
A day to live and breath Mother Earth
And bathe in sunlight and bring blossom to a pale heart!
